Unique Treatment Experience
Westwind Counseling offers a unique treatment experience that is tailored to each individual client. From the moment clients arrive, they are welcomed into a comfortable and safe environment that fosters healing. The personalized treatment plan includes individual counseling with a licensed counsellor, as well as 1-on-1 sessions with a registered dietitian to develop nutritional goals and learn about long-term recovery. Group sessions are held 3 times daily and cover a range of topics including nutrition education, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, goal setting, restaurant outings, art therapy, body image, and exercise. Through this wide range of activities, clients are empowered to take an active role in their recovery journey.
In-Person and Online Services
Westwind Counseling offers both in-person and online treatment options. Their in-person treatment center is located in Kelowna, British Columbia and offers a comfortable home-like environment with a maximum of 6 clients at a time. Clients have access to their own bedroom, Wi-Fi throughout the home, and are welcome to bring their own electronics. The R.I.S.E program offers online tele-health services to clients in the comfort of their own homes. This option provides clients with the same personalized treatment plans and access to licensed counsellors and registered dietitians through daily meal support, 3 weekly groups, and a weekly 1-on-1 session.
Women 19 and Older and All Genders 17 and Up
Westwind Counseling’s in-person treatment program is exclusively for women ages 19 and older. The R.I.S.E. online program is open to all genders ages 17 and up. Westwind recognizes that eating disorders can affect people of all ages, genders and backgrounds. By offering programs tailored to different age groups, they can better serve the unique needs of each individual client.
