Provide drug and alcohol services on and off reserve. Offers screening and assessment; individual, family, and group culturally sensitive counselling; access to transportation for clients; and counselling for those affected by another person’s substance misuse. Also offers AA meetings, referrals, and follow-up. Prevention activities include national addictions awareness week. Serves the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw Band, Kwakiutl Band, Quatsino Band, and other Aboriginal people. Offers services in Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw languages and has access to interpreters speaking other Aboriginal languages.
