The Addictions Foundation of Manitoba (AFM) is a not-for-profit organization that helps people living with addiction and their families. AFM has locations in the northern region, including Polaris Place. This facility offers help for people suffering from drug and alcohol addictions, as well as mental health issues. It also provides support to family members who are affected by an addict’s addiction.
Polaris place is an integrated service centre giving a range for youth and adults as regards to alcohol, different medication and/or gambling. Services include: Prevention and Education Activities; Community-Based mostly Rehabilitation; Impaired Driver Program and Residential Rehabilitation Services.
AFM is a government-funded organization with the goal of being a leader in addiction treatment and encouraging healthy habits. With 28 locations across the province, AFM employs nearly 400 people and provides a variety of addictions services to Manitobans.
