Maison Decision House

Maison Decision House is a bilingual rehab centre that offers a specialized intensive substance abuse treatment program. This program is designed for individuals who are struggling with moderate to severe alcohol and drug addiction issues. The program provides residents with a structured environment that fosters community development and individual growth. With an eight-week program that utilizes tailored programming based on the social learning theory, MDH provides a unique approach that focuses on unlearning negative habits and developing new thinking and coping skills in residents.

The program consists of five-hour group sessions, five days a week, that focuses on problem-solving, maintenance plans, and goals. The morning session comprises of comprehensive topics relating to substance abuse, while the afternoons offer week-long themed topics such as housing, finances, stress prevention, emotions, leisure, and employment. By providing a structured curriculum that addresses all aspects of addiction recovery, MDH empowers residents to manage their addiction independently. Full-time individual counselling sessions with a primary counsellor offering weekly feedback assist individuals in realizing their progress throughout the program.

Part three of the program focuses on transitioning residents back into society. MDH offers the opportunity for residents to continue their residency even after completing the program, giving them a structured environment while adjusting to work or school. The staff at MDH evaluates each case individually to ensure that individuals that remain in the program will truly benefit from it. Aftercare counselling is provided for part three residents and even graduates who have completed the program but are not residing at MDH.
