Gateway Recovery Centre is a unique facility that was created to serve the unique needs of military personnel, veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals who are seeking mental health and addiction treatment. The staff at Gateway Recovery Centre is made up of professionals with multidisciplinary backgrounds, including physicians, schizophrenics, nurses, counselors, and coaches. All staff members share a general ethos of empathy and compassion, and are always aware of the perspective of each client. At Gateway Recovery Centre, a comprehensive approach is taken to treat a range of co-occurring mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as alcoholism and behavioral addiction.

Treatment Methods

Clients at Gateway Recovery Centre will engage in a range of different treatment methods in order to address their unique needs. Some of these approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), educational groups, family counseling, adventure therapy, life skills training, mindfulness meditation, yoga, and other activities. The goal of this comprehensive approach is to empower clients to address their individual challenges and lead a healthy and fulfilling life.

Facilities

At Gateway Recovery Centre, clients can expect to find a pleasant and comfortable environment that is designed to promote healing and tranquility. The facility is located just outside of Peterborough, Ontario, on 14 wooded acres, next to the Heron Landing Golf Course. The building itself is 22,000 square feet, and features a range of amenities that contribute to the client’s overall experience. These include a lounge with a fireplace, semi-private rooms, a fully-stocked gym, a game room, and walking trails. Gateway Recovery Centre provides a therapeutic, peaceful setting that promotes healing and recovery.
