About Ceed Centre

The CEED Centre Society works to promote environmental and development education in the community. The Fraser Information Society was founded in 1984 as a non-profit organization and is now recognized as a non-profit organization.

Throughout the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, we promote the development of social connections and sustainable living practices.

We operate as the Centre Neighbourhood House, a drop-in community center, and we own and maintain a registered heritage building.

We provide programs and services in the areas of community development and food security. Our partners provide additional programs and services.

We believe:

• that community should be built “from the inside out” by mobilizing the talents, skills, and knowledge of the people, organizations, and institutions in the community;
• that all human endeavors should fit within the earth’s natural carrying capacity;
• that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, standing equal and valued in the eyes and deeds of the community.
