McDougall House Association is a residential drug treatment that takes care of women in Alberta. The organization can take up to fourteen women at a time. They have special accommodations for pregnant women so that both the mother and the baby can be safe throughout the treatment. The treatment program in itself is pretty standard with the group counselling. But they also include workshops to help the women recover and also exercise. The exercise is not seen as often as counselling but can be very effective in terms of body health and morale. Of course, the program includes educational activities where the women can learn things appertaining to different subjects.
