Miklat Recovery Society

Miklat Recovery Society offers gender-specific care that caters exclusively to men who are dealing with addiction issues. The program’s mission is to assist these men in escaping the cycle of addiction and to provide them with an environment in which they can begin their healing process. The dedicated team of professionals at Miklat seeks to create a climate of emotional and spiritual security that allows clients to rediscover themselves and their sense of purpose. Located in the beautiful region of British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, the program offers a ten-bed home that is both intimate and welcoming. Clients can take advantage of nature hikes, fishing excursions, and other outdoor activities on weekends.

Life Skills Training

Miklat Recovery Society offers a range of life skills training that encompasses all aspects of daily living. The program places particular emphasis on cultivating healthy habits, maintaining personal hygiene, navigating household duties, and participating in group therapy. Clients at Miklat can take advantage of a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and music therapy. The program also offers access to 12 Step meetings and peer-based therapeutic groups, as well as workshops on relapse prevention and anger management. The team of qualified counselors will provide individualized care as they guide clients through the recovery process.

In addition to providing intensive counseling and therapy, we also help clients integrate healthy habits and practices into their daily lives. This includes everything from preparing balanced, nutritious meals to exploring spirituality and attending 12 Step meetings. By helping clients cultivate a sense of purpose and rediscover their passions, we provide an environment in which they can begin to imagine a fulfilling life that is free from addiction.

Pricing Information

Miklat Recovery Society is committed to keeping non-insured costs as low as possible. Clients are welcome to use their insurance to offset the cost of treatment. The program costs $3,000 per month, with a maximum stay of 90 days. For those who choose to participate in the full 90-day program, the cost is $12,000.
